Super Eagles defender, Chidozie Awaziem, featured for his new Ligue 1 club Nantes who beat Servette of Switzerland 2-0 in a pre-season friendly in France on Wednesday.
Awaziem, 20, who is on loan from FC Porto, was introduced in the second half by former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri, who now coaches Nantes.
Two first half goals from Emiliano Sala in the 10th minute (penalty) and 32nd minute gave Nantes their first pre-season win after two games.
Their first pre-season game was a 2-2 draw against another Switzerland club Lausanne Sport last Saturday.
They will take on Bundesliga 2 club Ingolstadt in their next pre-season game on Saturday, July 22.
Awaziem made his official debut for the Super Eagles on June 10 in their 2-0 loss to Bafana Bafana of South Africa on matchday one of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Uyo.
