A non profitable organization; THE COMFORTERS, on Sunday, donated items worth over Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira ( N250,000.00) to inmates of the A Division Police Station, Wellington Bassey Way, Uyo.
The items were: cooked food, beverages, water and the Holy Bible.

While making the donation, the Progenitor of the group; Emem Emah, said her regular visit to orphanages, Prisons and police cells, was to commune with the inmates and encourage them to see their present state as a step toward greatness.

Emem, who was accompanied by members of the group, admonished the inmates to meditate on what brought them to the police custody, repent and be good ambassadors of Christ.
While praising the Nigeria Police Force, Akwa Ibom State command, for carrying out the onerous task of flushing out criminalities in all the nooks and cranies of the State, the founder of the group, Emem Emah, appealed to public spirited individuals, groups and corporate bodies, to give maximum support to the force and other law enforcement agencies.

The Itu Local Government Area born professional Caterer and philanthropist also used the ocassion to urge Akwa Ibomites not to give up on those in need, but to show love and make their welfare a great concern to them at all times.

Highpoint of the visit was prayers for the inmates, government, the leaders and people of Akwa Ibom State.
