Rice Production: A’Ibom Assembly authorizes state participation in N2Billion Commercial Agric loan from CBN

Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has issued a resolution authorizing Akwa Ibom State’s participation in the N2 Billion, Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN agric loan scheme for the purpose of boosting rice production in the state.
This is sequel to a request sent to the House by Governor Udom Emmanuel, seeking the approval of the lawmakers to enable the
state benefit from the federal government scheme.
The House gave the approval today at plenary. Interest rate stands at 9 percent.
