The Apostolic Church Nigeria, the biggest Christian church in Nigeria with over 4.5 million members and a National Temple that seats over 10,000 worshippers in a service has a new National President that will run the affairs of the church in Nigeria.
The new National President is Pastor S. E. Igwe. He is form Igboland Territory. His Vice( President) is Pastor E. S.. Awojide from Lagos and Western/Northern Areas (LAWNA Territory). While Pastor G. A. O is also from LAWNA. He will serve as the National Secretary.
Our own son, Pastor Isaiah from Nsit Ibom Local government Area, Akwa Ibom State is the new National Deputy National Secretary.
The new leaders were nominated during the church National Executive Council (NEC) meeting last Thursday and was officially announced to members of the church on Friday by the Outgoing president of the church, Pastor (Dr) G. O Olutola (JP) at the 6th National Convention of the The Apostolic Church.
Pastor Olutola, pray God to uphold the new leaders and give them more wisdom to direct the Church of God in the right direction.
The Convention which comes up every four years , started last Friday 17th February over 19th February, 2017 and has as its THEME ” THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD, THE PILAR AND GROUND OF THE TRUTH.” took place at the International convention grounds,National Temple Olorunde-Keto, Lagos state.
The Apostolic Church Nigeria is administered as a single entity
by the National Council and it is headed by a President.
The immediate past President , Pastor G.O. Olutola succeeded late Pastor E. E. Okon in 2011.
The church is categorized into six sections called fields and Territories with a view of bonding members in a spiritual and healthy fellowship.
The fields include: The Lagos and Western/Northern Areas Territory s(LAWNA), The Igboland Territory and Cross River State Field.
Others are The Maritime Field, Akwa Ibom Field,and Andoni Field.
The National convention will end tomorrow Sunday 19th February, 2017.
