Chairman, Transition Committee, Ibeno Local Government Area, High Chief Williams Mkpah, has commended Mr Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, over his superlative achievements, accentuating that the Governor is positively projecting image of the State and that of his party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with sterling performance.
The Council boss also called on Akwa Ibomites to continue to live in peace with one another irrespective of their political parties, religious or ethnic affiliations.
Speaking exclusively to The TOWN CRIER, Tuesday, in Uyo, the State capital, the Local Government helmsman noted that the result of the performance of Governor Emmanuel was evident to all, as all parts of the State had been positively touched in the industralization policy and inclusive governance approach of the present administration.
High Chief Mkpah, said, it was worthy of note that, the massive development being implemented by the Governor, cuts across all sectors and sections of the State, adding that Governor Udom Emmanuel deserved to be commended for his great efforts at moving the state forward.
His words: “We are happy that His Excellency is doing a lot in the entire Akwa Ibom State. Our Governor has not disappointed us. He (Emmanuel) is just two years in office and has done so well.
“Traverse the length and breath of the State, there is no Local Government Area that has not been touched.
“Infact, there is no longer rural area in Akwa Ibom because the Governor has transformed everywhere, I mean everywhere.
“Few weeks ago, we were visiting everywhere in the State to commission roads, bridges, School blocks, hospitals and other life touching projects including the pencil and toothpick industry at Ekom Iman. As we speak, construction work has started at the site for our Coconut refinery.
“You can see that the development is not just limited to infrastructure alone but every sector including health, education, security, among others, have been positively touched,” the Ibeno council boss noted.
The council who boasted that: “This is the first time in the history of this State that one would see the incumbent Governor and over three of his predecessors at a function exchanging pleasantries, mixing freely and discussing the way forward of Akwa Ibom. Now, if you ask me, I’ll tell you it’s a part of the political inclusion that His Excellency talked about during his electioneering ”
While assuring the governor of his peoples’ undiluted loyalty and support at all times, High Chief Mkpah, urged Akwa Ibomites at home and in the Diaspora to shun acts capable of distracting Mr Udom Emmanuel as the governor was desirous to end poverty and completely industrialize Akwa Ibom between now and 2023.
