Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has lauded the dedication and professionalism of security personnel and staff at the Government House, describing them as exemplary in the discharge of their duties.
The commendation came during a Dinner and Award Ceremony organized by the Security Department to honor officers and workers who have distinguished themselves.
Governor Eno praised his Chief Security Officer, CSP Besta Sini, and her team for the creativity and professionalism displayed in organizing the event, noting that the idea stemmed from his desire to create a relaxed atmosphere to appreciate their sacrifices.
He emphasized that security officers often face neglect and abuse despite their crucial role, but assured them that their diligence and commitment would not go unrewarded.

The Governor also commended the Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, for fostering strong collaboration among security agencies, which has contributed to peace and stability in the state.
During the ceremony, Governor Eno recognized Mr. Isaac Atakan for his outstanding service despite not holding an official appointment. He directed the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, to issue Atakan a formal letter of appointment as Personal Assistant on Protocol, retroactive to May 29, 2023, with full payment of allowances and an additional ₦5 million personal award.
