In furtherance of efforts to strengthen inclusive governance and sustain peace in Ibeno Local Government Area, the Chairman of Ibeno Local Government Area, Mrs. Glory Effiong, has received a delegation of Mbong Ekpuk Ibeno on a courtesy visit.

The engagement, which took place today at her Office, provided a platform for constructive dialogue on leadership, governance and the continued advancement of peace, unity and stability within the local government area.
The delegation led by Chairman, Clan of Family Head, Ibeno Local Government Council, Apostle chief Samuel Akpan, expressed appreciation to the Chairman for what they described as measurable progress recorded across Ibeno Local Government Area.

He noted that the deliberate pursuit of inclusive governance has strengthened institutional trust and social cohesion, particularly through the active involvement of traditional institutions, youth leaders, women groups and other critical stakeholders in the affairs of local governance.
The delegation also assured of their firm solidarity with Governor Umo Eno’s administration and assured of continuous support beyond 2031.
Responding, the Council Boss, Mrs. Effiong thanked the delegation for the visit and their expressions of confidence in her administration and assurance of support for Governor Eno in 2031.
She reiterated her commitment to inclusive governance and policies in view of promoting unity, stability and sustainable development in Ibeno Local Government Area.
The Chairman also assured the delegation that her administration would continue to work closely with community leaders and stakeholders to consolidate peace and deepen development at the grassroots in line with the ARISE Agenda of the current administration.
Mrs. Effiong urged them to take full advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voters Card (PVC) registration exercise in order to participate actively in the democratic process ahead of future elections.
She called for sustained collaboration among all segments of the Ibeno society, stressing that collective responsibility remains critical to achieving lasting peace and shared prosperity in the area.
