The Executive Chairman of Ika Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Utibe Nwoko, has reiterated his administration’s dedication to strengthening grassroots political engagement as the All Progressives Congress (APC) convened ward meetings across the council area on Friday.
Addressing party members at Archan Ward 1 in Ikot Asukpong, Barr. Nwoko stressed the importance of inclusive participation in voter registration, APC e-enrolment, and National Identification. He urged families to ensure that all eligible residents aged 18 and above register with INEC and secure their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
To encourage full involvement, the chairman pledged to provide transportation and logistics support for residents. He inspected the registration exercise, commended the dedication of volunteers, and called on more youths to join the mobilisation effort. He also directed the deployment of additional ward agents to expand coverage across communities.
Barr. Nwoko rallied members to sustain their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno, highlighting their leadership as crucial to democratic stability and development.

Earlier, APC Ward Chairman Mr. Eseme Tom described the ward meetings as an opportunity to assess progress on voter and membership registration while devising new strategies for sustained mobilisation. He encouraged members across villages to take advantage of the ongoing exercise and participate actively.
