…Declare support to Abak Transition Chairman

Youth Leaders across the entire clan of Afaha Obong in Abak Local Government Area on Monday, 13th March, 2017 paid a courtesy call on the Transition Committee Chairman of Abak, Hon. Dr Emma Udosen.
The group, under the auspices of Forum of Afaha Obong Youth, declared their support to the Transition Chairman, rejecting the statement credited to House of Assembly Member representing Abak State Constituency, Elder Friday Iwok, where he claimed that he has zoned the next Chairmanship slot to Afaha Obong Clan.
The Leader of the delegation and the Youth President of Ikot Akpabio Village, Comrade Usenobong Joshua, said the youths of Afaha Obong clan are very satisfied with developmental strides Abak is currently witnessing.
“As a Youth group, we won’t let anybody out of his or her political gains decide who leads Abak. We have seen past elected leaders come and gone without achieving any meaningful development for our people.

Another Speaker, the Youth President of Ikot Ufen Village, Mr. Emmanuel Paul Udofa said, “None of us here will deny that Hon. Emmanuel Udosen is not working despite lean resources, he has shown us the capacity of an effective and pragmatic leader.
We have no other reward than a pledge to purchase PDP nomination form, if you decide to contest as an elected Chairman of Abak Local Government Area.”
The group also declared their total support to the reelection of Governor Udom Emmanuel and Senator Godswill Akpabio comes 2019.
Responding, the Transition Committee Chairman of Abak, Hon. Dr. Emmanuel Udosen, said he was amazed and astonished at the weight of satisfaction Afaha Obong Youths bestowed on him, promising that he won’t relent to do his best for Abak people.
The courtesy call had in attendance 22 Afaha Obong village Youth presidents, Transition Committee members and staff of the council.
