
Uyo, Akwa Ibom State – In a momentous event attended by distinguished guests, government representatives, and members of Ati Annang, Aniekpeno Mkpanang was officially inaugurated as the President of the socio-cultural organization. Taking up the mantle of leadership, Mkpanang delivered a stirring address, outlining his vision to usher Ati Annang into a transformative era of service and innovation.
Reflecting on the 31-year legacy of Ati Annang, Mkpanang paid tribute to the founders who forged a path where none existed. However, he emphasized that while tradition is essential, his leadership will be defined by innovation and a proactive approach to community service.
“Will I be remembered as a mere custodian of tradition or as an architect of transformation? The answer is clear,” he declared. “I must break new ground, embrace innovation, and explore fresh ideas.”
He underscored his commitment to ensuring that Ati Annang remains a dynamic force, stating that mere membership is not enough. Instead, he urged every member to actively contribute to the growth of the organization, emphasizing that they must not stand on the sidelines but serve, build, and inspire.
“We will not merely be an organization; we will make Ati Annang a beacon of relevance,” he stated firmly.
Expressing deep gratitude to the Board of Trustees and his predecessor, Mkpanang pledged to honor their dedication while driving the organization towards new heights. He also acknowledged the presence of the representative of His Excellency, the Governor, noting that such recognition underscores the significance of the moment.
His speech culminated in a rallying call to action: “It is not enough to wear the name Ati Annang; we must make it count. The next three years will be different. The world will stop, take notice, and remember the name Ati Annang.”
With a resolute spirit and a clear vision, Aniekpeno Mkpanang embarks on his presidency with the promise of a bold and progressive future for Ati Annang.
