Prince Enobong Uwah has pledged to build a new house for one Mrs. Bessie Ben, an aged widow from Atan Offot in Uyo LGA whose house was destroyed by fire Yesterday at about 8.00 pm. He made the pledge earlier today when he visited the scene of the fire incident.

The Executive Chairman of Uyo Capital City Development Authority, UCCDA, Prince Enobong Uwah, who happens to be an indigene of the village where the unfortunate incident occurred was dismayed on arriving the scene.
Accompanied by the Senior Special Assistant, SSA, to the Governor on Marketing and Brand Management, Mr. Ime Uwah, SSA to the Governor on Local Government Boundaries and Conflict Resolution, Hon. Kenneth Okon and SSA on Public Affairs, Barr Morgan, sympathized with the aged woman over the incident, thanking God for sparing the aged widow’s life as well as occupants of the building as at the time of the fire outbreak.
Prince Uwah who stressed that, he was moved by the gesture of the First Lady, Her Excellency, Dr Martha Udom Emmanuel in providing shelter for distressed widows through her Shelter of Hope Project, under the Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Path Initiative, FEYReP, donated the sum of #100,000( One Hundred Thousand Naira) to take care of the widow’s basic needs and ordered for the immediate construction of a new building for the woman.

The widow’s family members, villagers even passers-by were excited by the timely intervention extended by Prince Uwah.
Mrs Bessie Ben, the owner of the building that was destroyed by fire couldn’t hide her joy. She appreciated Prince Enobong Uwah for coming to rescue her. She prayed for bountiful blessings.
