The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Marketing and Brand Management, Mr Ime Uwah has expressed gratitude to nominees in the community service category of the just concluded Dakkada 5th Anniversary Business and Leadership Awards for their efforts in creating stability and peace in their respective communities. Uwah made this known today at a brief interactive session with nominees who made the cut in the Community service category of the Dakkada 5th Anniversary Business and Leadership Awards 2020. He said the different efforts put forward by the different youngsters aggregated to birth peaceful communities and enhance harmonious living.
In a session that ensued, nominees shared their exploits and activities and also received insights on how to better operate and create more impact. The projects shared cut across areas like education, sanitation, security and charity.
In his remarks, one of the nominees and SA to the Governor on social reorientation, Mr Ekpeno Gold commended the Directorate of Marketing and Brand Management for the award conceptualization and actualization. Gold went on talk about his Mkpo Ama Change initiative which he said has impacted over 1500 young Akwa Ibomites.
The community service category of the Dakkada 5th Anniversary Business and Leadership Awards had a total of 25 nominations, with Sifon Udo taking home the top prize of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000). Two runners up – Remarkable Mary Akpan and Happiness Uduak Ekerendu also got Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000) each, while twenty two nominees have gotten Twenty Thousand Naira (N20, 000) each.
