The event consultant to the hosting of the second edition of the Ibom Easter Fiesta speaking in a telephone conversation with Mr. Mfon Jacott, Coordinator of Akwa Ibom Youth Economic Summit is of a strong opinion of a unique outcome and a memorable experience for tourists.

Mr. Nelson gave a brief account of the first edition held last year at Ibom Plaza in the capital city of Uyo. He stated that religious tourism can be a huge revenue earner for the Akwa Ibom State Government in a State that is 98% Christian with fascinating hospitality resorts centers and pocket friendly hotels.

He gave economic analysis of the commercial activities that took place at the last edition with a huge crowd of worshippers and soul lifting gospel musicians celebrating the resurrection of our Saviour Jesus Christ. In his words: …. “sales tripled as food vendors, taxi drivers and hoteliers smiled to the bank”. He greatly commend Governor Udom for his tactical human resource skills in appointing Mr. David Sergeant a.k.a Utang Akwa Ibom as his Special Assistant on entertainment.

A round peg in a round hole. An entertainer with in depth knowledge on the need assessment of making the Akwa Ibom entertainment industry viable and globally competitive in a bid of complimenting the State Government economic recovery and growth plan through diversification.

This further justify the theme of this year Ibom Easter Fiesta : Great People, Great God. An event that will host the best of Akwa Ibom gospel artists, the Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Onoifiok Luke in company with Aides to Governor Udom and Big Brother Naija House Mate, Kemen.
