Former Super Eagles striker Osaze Odemwingie continued his goal scoring run for Madura United but it was not enough as they lost 2-1 away to Bhayanghara Surabaya United in the Indonesian top flight on Thursday.
The goal was Odemwingie’s 12th in 13 league appearances for Madura United.
Odemwingie put Madura United 1-0 up on the stroke of half-time.
Alsan Sanda equalised for Bhayanghara Surabaya in the 72nd minute.
And in the 83rd minute, Ilham Udin Armaiyn scored the winner to give Bhayanghara the win.
The defeat saw Madura United drop to fifth on 22 points in the league table but with a game in hand.
