By Izuchukwu Okosi:

Nigeria and Brazil clashed on Day 3 of the Star Sixes Football Tournament holding at the O2 Arena,  London on Saturday afternoon but the former Super Eagles side  captained by  Austin Jay Jay Okocha were defeated 3-0 by the South Americans, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Former Arsenal striker Julio Baptista scored the first goal of the game, with a shot Nigeria goalkeeper Peter Rufai could do little to save with eleven minutes played.

Former Manchester City forward Elano doubled Brazil’s lead with a simple tap-in seven minutes after the opener.

Brazil’s third goal was netted by the legendary Juninho.

The wonderful footwork from skilful Djalminha almost resulted in a goal for Brazil but they did have the third.

The South Americans made it 3-0 before full time to qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition, the first country to do so after three wins in three games.
