Winners Emerge in Arise Creative Champions Semi Finals

The tension, talent and excitement that have defined the Arise Creative Champions peaked today as outstanding contestants secured their places in the much-anticipated grand finale. The semi-finals, held on Tuesday at Dueua Hotel, Uyo, showcased brilliance across music, dance, spoken word, comedy, acting and fine arts.

Speaking at the event, Emmanuel Owuala, Special Assistant to the Governor on Creative Talents Development and chief organizer, praised the contestants for elevating creativity in Akwa Ibom.

“What we witnessed today is proof that Akwa Ibom is home to world-class talents. These young creators have shown courage, originality and excellence. The Governor’s vision is to intentionally build a creative economy that competes globally, and Arise Creative Champions is making that vision real,” he said.

Also speaking, David Sergeant (Utang Akwa Ibom), Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment, commended the platform for discovering and nurturing young talents. “This competition is an investment in a generation of creators who will represent our state and country on global stages,” he said.

Head Adjudicator Dr. Sunday Umanah announced the finalists. In spoken word, Merit Speak, Esther Ibanga and Precious Daniel advanced. Acting finalists are Enobong Udo, The Ambassadors and Esther Elijah. Comedy finalists include Comedian Skypo, Comedian Bosco and Ephraim Celestine.

For dance, Elite Kings Dance Crew, KS Lens Crew and Akwa Ibom Young Stars qualified. Music finalists are The Singphonix, Edidiong Okon and Unyime Innocent, while in fine arts, AminiAbasi Essien, Enomfon Edet and Sifon Nelson earned their spots.

The grand finale of the Arise Creative Champions will hold in December at Ibom Christmas Unplugged, as excitement builds for the battle for the championship title, N3m per category cash prize and life-changing creative opportunities.
