1st Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency Stakeholders Forum holds Saturday


The Member Representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Elder Aniekan Umanah will on Saturday 13 July, 2019 hold his first Stakeholders Consultative Forum with the theme: ‘Towards Effective Legislative Agenda’.

The information was made available in a press release to journalists by his Personal Assistant on Media, Sixtus Tom, stating that the forum which will hold at the Abak Local Government Council Hall, Abak LGA by 10am is pertinent to set the tone for an effective representation of the constituents and to chart a course for the constituency.

The release states that the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Mr. Moses Ekpo, MFR who hails from Abak will be in attendance as Special Guest of Honour, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Legal Adviser, Hon. Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem will Chair the occasion, the Chairman of Abak LGA, Hon. Barr. Imoh Williams will be the Chief Host, while the Chairman of Etim Ekpo LGA, Rt. Hon. Udeme Eduo and his Ika counterpart, Rt. Hon. Anthony Udousung will be Co-hosts.

According to the release, Hon. Aniekan Umanah will formally notify the Federal Constituency Stakeholders drawn from the 31 Wards of Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika LGAs of his resumption of duties at the Green Chambers, interact with them to understand their needs and to set an agenda for their best interest as well as build a consensus on a legislative direction.

The event will offer an ample opportunity for Elder Umanah to thank the people of Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency for their support and encouragement throughout the electioneering period which led to the overall success of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State.

The release states that in attendance will be past and present legislators from the Federal Constituency, Past and present Members of the State Executive Council from the Federal Constituency, representatives of youth groups, women and elders of the Federal Constituency as well as professional bodies including Nigerian Society of Engineers(NSE), Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Society of Road Transport (NSRT) Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN), Tricycle Riders Association of Nigeria (TRAN), Association of General and Private Medical Practitioner of Nigeria(AGPMPN), Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Market Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN) Traders Association of Nigeria (TAN) Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) etc.
