
President Buhari has approved the establishment of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Oil and Gas Logistics Center in Akwa Ibom State.
This was made known by the Minister of State for Petroleum, Chief Timipre Sylva during a gala night in honor of the delegation of stakeholders in the oil and gas industry retreat in Uyo on Saturday which was organized by the State Government.yhhummxbnzsxvm
The Federal Government is ready to partner with the State Government to build a base and the first of it would be in the oil-rich state.
Chief Sylva asked Governor Udom Emmanuel to set up a team to work alongside the NNPC in putting things in place for the partnership.
Chief Sylva in his words said “I have the full support of NNPC to announce to you that we are very interested in partnering with you to build a base here. It will be the first here.
“There has been an approved to immediately establish an oil and gas logistics facility in the state,” Sylva said.
Mr. President has already signed a free trade zone status for Ibaka in Akwa Ibom State.
