Akwa Ibom is getting ready for a week of culture, creativity, learning and community engagement as Usoro Akwa Ibom 2026 takes place from September 14 to 19, 2026 in Uyo.
The programme brings together activities that reflect the richness of Akwa Ibom, from digital skills and enterprise to food, fashion, arts, music, traditional heritage and community participation.
The celebration opens with the Digital Economy Masterclass, holding from September 14–17, from 9:00 AM daily at Ibom LED, Uyo.
From September 17–19, the Biodiversity Attraction and Festival Showcase will take place at Unity Park, Udoudoma Avenue, Uyo, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily. The showcase will feature food, fashion, agronomy, art and crafts, giving participants an opportunity to experience different expressions of Akwa Ibom culture and creativity.
On September 18, attention turns to the streets of Uyo with the City Charity Walk beginning at 6:00 AM, followed by the Uyo Bikers Groove Parade at 12:00 noon. Participants will muster at Unity Park, Udoudoma Avenue, Uyo.
Later that day, Music, Dance and Pep will take place from 3:30 PM, bringing music and entertainment into the celebration.
The programme will close on September 19 with Cultural Beauties and Dynasty, starting from 10:00 AM at Unity Park, Udoudoma Avenue, Uyo—a fitting celebration of the beauty, history and cultural heritage of the people of Akwa Ibom.
Usoro Akwa Ibom 2026 is an invitation to residents, visitors, creatives, young people and culture lovers to come together, participate and celebrate what makes Akwa Ibom unique.
