A new Oku Ibom Ibibio for the premier traditional stool of Ibibio Land, the fourth largest ethnic group in Nigeria, Ifim Ibom Ibibio, has been selected.
The new supreme ruler is His Royal Majesty, Edidem Solomon Daniel Etuk, Paramount Ruler of Nsit Ubium Local Government Area.
The new ruler was successfully selected on Friday, September 14, 2018 by Ibibio Paramount Rulers during the supreme assembly of Ifim Ibom Ibibio at the Palace of the Paramount Ruler of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, His Royal Majesty, Okuku Ime Udousoro Inyang.
HRM Edidem Solomon Daniel Etuk succeeds His Eminence, Late Akwa Edidem (Dr.) Akpabio Udo Ukpa, who joined his ancestors in 1916.
