“Delivering the Ideal Pitch” was the focus earlier today, as entrepreneurs, stakeholders and business professionals gathered virtually on video conferencing app – Zoom for the November edition of the Dakkada Networking Experience.
The panelists – Nsikan “Netima” Essien and Joshua Attat, both Pitch experts and successful business incubators took turns to speak to attendees on how to pitch properly and successfully to woo investors and attract the much needed grants, partnerships or buyouts.
During the Business trivia, which is fast becoming a high point of the monthly networking event, a participating entrepreneur, Mr Isaiah Akpan emerged winner of the One hundred thousand naira DNE entrepreneurs grant by giving the most acceptable answer to the trivia question posed by the Akwa Ibom State Coordinator of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Lucy Ekpenyong.
Participants at the November edition of the DNE described this month’s theme as timely, especially as the MEGP MSME Pitch Deck 2020 is just by the corner. Respondents who were Alumni of the My Entrepreneurship Goals Programme (MEGP) told this reporter that information garnered at the networking will prove handy as they compete at the MEGP MSME Pitch Deck.
This month’s DNE had in attendance, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Marketing and Brand Management, Mr. Ime Uwah, SA on entrepreneurial Development, Mrs. Meflyn Anwana, SMEDAN State Coordinator, Lucy Ekpenyong, Finance, and development consultant, Mr Aniekan Usoro, Management and Staff of the Directorate of Marketing and Brand Management, MEGP Alumni and batch 3 participants, as well as a cross-section of entrepreneurs in Akwa Ibom State and beyond.
