BREAKING: EFCC freezes Akwa Ibom State Government Accounts

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) has frozen all bank accounts of Akwa Ibom State Government.

A source who told our reporter though not authorized to speak on the matter said that “No reason was given; no court order, and that rule of law totally was ignored

The source further indicted the former Governor of the state, Senator Godswill Akpabio as the man behind the scene.

” It is engineered by Senator Akpabio as part of his plot to cripple the state. It’s the height of wickedness  by Senator Akpabio against the common man who voted for and supported him for 8years.” he said.

Few hours ago, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki had during a World press briefing accused Senator Godswill Akpabio as the man behind the invasion of the National Assembly by men of the Department of State Service.

Efforts to speak with the former Senate Minority Leader, proved abortive as the former PDP leader was attending his defection rally in Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium.
