Etinan Federal Constituency Women vow to return Gov Emmanuel to Hilltop Mansion

Women from the three local government areas of Etinan, Nsit-Ibom and Nsit-Ubium which make up Etinan Federal Constituency have reiterated their resolve to work collectively for the reelection of Governor Udom Emmanuel and the electoral victory of all candidates of the PDP in the forthcoming election holding February 16 and March 2.

The women made their stand known, Wednesday during a solidarity rally held in support of the Governor and her wife, Martha Udom Emmanuel at Etinan local government secretariat ground. Speaking at the rally, the Wives of the local government Chairmen for Etinan, Nsit-Ibom and Nsit Ubium, assured the Governor’s wife of that the women of the federal constituency were solidly behind her husband and would demonstrate their solidarity in action by voting en-masse for her husband and all PDP candidates including, Senator Bassey Albert for a second term as Senator representing Your Senatorial district at the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke as next House of Representatives Member for Etinan Federal Constituency and Hon. Aniefiok Dennis for a second as House of Assembly Member for Etinan State Constituency.

Speaking on behalf of the Chairmen’s wife, the wife of Etinan Council boss, Mrs. Itoro Cletus, said the good works of Governor Udom Emmanuel in the federal constituency were glaring for all to see, noting that the area has benefitted immensely from the current administration that the previous government.

Also speaking, the Speaker, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Barr. Onofiok Luke, his wife, Dr. Uduak Luke, National Assembly Member for Etinan Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Sam Ikon ,Wife of former Council chairman, Mrs. Mfon Kenneth Okon, Chairman, College of Education Governing Council, Mrs. Regina Ikpatt, CEO of Flair Decor, Mrs. Ime Eseme Essien, Mrs. Effiong Bob, and the member representing Etinan in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Aniefiok Dennis in their separate remarks were resolute in their readiness to ensure that PDP wins resoundingly in the three local government areas of Etinan Federal Constituency.

State Chairman of the PDP, Obong Paul Ekpo pointed out that the massive turn out by the women of the federal constituency was an indication that the women were appreciative of the massive road network dotting the length and breath of the federal constituency and many other development efforts of the current administration.

Addressing the women, wife of the Governor, Mrs. Martha Emmanuel said she was in their midst to canvass for votes for the reelection of her husband, the election of the Presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Senatorial candidate of the party for Uyo Senatorial district, Senator Bassey Albert, House of Representatives candidate for Etinan Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Barr. Onofiok Luke, and the House of Assembly candidates for Etinan, Nsit-Ibom and Nsit-Ubium State constituencies ahead of the forthcoming election.

Mrs. Emmanuel advised the women to reject those she described as selfish politicians who do not mean well for them, but are only concerned about winning election at all cost. She told them that the PDP remains the only party that touches lives and works for the advancement of the wellbeing of the citizenry.
