Governor Pastor Umo Eno yesterday received members of the ARISE With Renewed Hope Initiative at the Government House, describing the group’s diverse composition as a strong symbol of unity and shared purpose needed to keep Akwa Ibom State peaceful, focused, and progressive.
Speaking during the visit, the Governor noted that the Initiative brings together people from different backgrounds, reflecting the collective responsibility required to sustain harmony and drive meaningful development across the State. He emphasized that unity remains a critical pillar in achieving the administration’s vision of inclusive growth and good governance.
Governor Umo Eno used the opportunity to urge citizens to actively participate in the ongoing INEC voter e-registration exercise, stressing that civic engagement is essential for strengthening democracy and ensuring that the voices of the people are heard.
He also called on residents to conduct themselves peacefully and responsibly, noting that sustainable development can only flourish in an atmosphere of peace and mutual respect. According to him, peace is not just the absence of conflict but the foundation upon which progress, investment, and social development are built.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting unity, encouraging active citizenship, and creating an enabling environment where development can thrive for the benefit of all Akwa Ibom people.
