MEGP Batch 3 rounds up training with a Company tour.

Participants of the 3rd batch of the My Entrepreneurship Goals Programme (MEGP) today embarked on a company tour as part of their course outline, to expose participants to the dynamics of the day to day running of a company.

The company tour saw the participants visit the Jubilee syringe manufacturing industries, Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State where participants were exposed to practical dynamics of business operations.

The participants were led to the Jubilee Syringe Manufacturing Company by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Brand Marketing, Mr. Ime Uwah and the Special Assistant to the Governor on Entrepreneurship development, Mrs Meflyn Anwana.

At the company, the Products manager, Mr Faruk Shazad who took the Entrepreneurs on a guided tour of the facility said the company has a capacity of producing a million syringes per day. According to him, the company has plans to produce other medical consumables next year.

The Managing director of the company, Mr. Akin Oyediran who interacted with the participants by answering series of questions on the success and challenges of the company commended the trainees for the exhibition of interest in doing business for themselves.
He challenged them to develop a business plan and review the same weekly if they must succeed in their endeavors.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Marketing and Brand Management, Mr. Ime Uwah expressed delight that the Enterpreneurs have been able to see what they have been trained throughout the duration of the program in practice. He thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for providing an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the State and saluted the management of the company for receiving the Enterpreneurs on a facility visit.
