MKPAT ENIN CHAIRMAN MOBILISES STUDENTS FOR POLITICAL INCLUSION, ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL BURSARY FORMS

The Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government, Engr. Emmanuel Inyang, has called on students of Mkpat Enin origin to embrace political participation as a pathway to inclusion and sustainable development.

Engr. Inyang made the call during a courtesy visit to Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) to engage with the student community to actively participate in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) electronic membership registration.

He also encouraged eligible students to take advantage of Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) to enable them exercise their franchise during elections.

While appreciating the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno as his political mentor, Engr. Inyang highlighted his development projects to include political appointments, compassionate homes for vulnerable persons, road construction and other people-oriented initiatives.

The chairman announced the release of additional bursary forms for Mkpat Enin students to accommodate more beneficiaries and assured that the bursary scheme would be handled transparently, with direct disbursement to beneficiaries, similar to the approach adopted during his N100 million empowerment programme.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Otoabasi Akpan, praised Governor Umo Eno’s commitment to education and applauded Engr. Inyang’s benevolence toward Mkpat Enin students, pledging continued institutional support.

Also speaking, Dean of Student Affairs, AKSU, Engr. Dominic Ekpo, Special Assistant to the Governor on Students’ Matters, Dr. Wisdom Emmanuel and Vice President of AKSU Students’ Union Government, Comr. Goodnews Ndiok, appreciated the governor for promoting youth inclusion and grassroots engagement, while also commending the council chairman for his consistent support for education and student development.
