Of a truth
It took us years to free ourselves from the misconception that we are subservient to any from any part of this country. It cost us a lot to kill the slave mentality, it took us decades to prove beyond doubts to the Mohammeds and Bolas or Bisis and the Emekas that AkwaIbomites are no house boys, house girls nor gate men, and we have been and are proud of our real worth and statute in the Nigerian conversation.
Sadly enough, our brothers and sisters in APC do not see beyond the excitement of political victory, thus they grovel as slaves before the Yorubas or the Hausas to give them direction and a part on the back. What a shame.
We had a great man but he chooses to be a slave, we rejected him at the Polls he sends for our slave masters to come and talk sense into our limited minds as folks who can not think for themselves and choose leaders of our making.
Why have we returned to our vomits as weaklings in the Nigerian conversation? Nsima Ekere should never have sent for Buhari, Osibanjo or Oshimole, these are strangers fingering our patrimony and seeking to determine our future for us. Its unacceptable.
If you have never been angry, wake up and save our future. Save the pride of our unborn children, let history not remember the day foreigners crossed the red line and foisted leaders on us. If any man must govern us, please govern us a free people not as slaves who must be propped up by foreigners.
When in the history of this great Nation has it been said that an Akwa Ibom son was being invited to any state to awaken Morales in any Hausa, Yoruba or Igbo land to chose a King for them? Our founding fathers turn in their graves to witness the day Lions live like dogs lapping peanuts from their master’s palm.
I am ashamed today as an Akwaibomite that The Vice President, Donald Trump, Dangote,Buhari, name them were invited by some of us to twig of conscience as robots, as idiots groping in dark not knowing what shall befall our future. We have the right to chose our leaders and we must not be cajoled to cave in and cower in servitude.
This is my generation if our Elders have lost focus on our pride, I implore the youths to arise and prove foreigners wrong. That visit was an invasion of our psychology, that visit was an abuse of our hospitality, that visit was an insult on our Freedom of choice, that was an attempt to trample on our votes.
Beyond Party affiliation, I feel personally insulted that what we have not done in any other state, others have the audacity to do in ours. May posterity stand with us who dared to stand on our own than allow a Buhari or an Osibanjo to tarnish our free spirit.
Beloved AkwaIbomites, on the 9th of March 2019, please come out and disdain this house boy, house girl and gate man disposition which other tribes are foisting on us for we can think for ourselves with our voter’s card.
Vote for Freedom, vote for the pride of our Children, Vote Mr Udom Emmanuel, vote for Peace and Prosperity.
