
The President General of Afigh Iwaad Ekid, Obongiwaad (Pst.) Godwin Williams has reiterated his commitment to ensuring that the teeming youth across Eket Federal Constituency are gainfully and Justifiably engaged by Mobil Producing Unlimited.
Obongiwaad Williams, who is the 32nd international President of the organization and the immediate past Special Assitant on Project Monitoring to Governor Udom Emmanuel, revealed this during a phone conversation with Netreporters reporter.
He said ExxonMobil has failed core Oil-producing Communities as they have derailed from existing global practice in their activities and operations, stressing also that the issue of non-compliance to the Local Content Law by the Multinational Oil company requires prompt attention.
“Especially in the area of the on-going employment in the electrical department of the conglomerate; admission of our people into Mobil Training School, denial of our people the opportunity for the industrial attachments in the organization among others are prime concerns I will be visiting MPN headquarters to carefully address the issues” he assured
While disclosing that he has concluded modalities for the inauguration of Afigh Iwaad Ekid, USA chapter, the President General informed that he is billed to visit Mobil headquarters while in the USA to enable him a better platform to register the pains and extreme marginalization faced by the people in the core Oil-producing Communities to MPN’s top management for possible solutions.
“The inauguration of Afigh Iwaad Ekid, USA chapter is to further strengthen the organizations bond with the global community as well as commitment towards promoting unity, peaceful coexistence, and development of Ekid Nation,” He said.
