The Member representing Etinan Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Sam Ikon has Flagged off the third phase of the Etinan Federal Constituency medical outreach at Primary Health Care , Afia Nsit Urua Nko, Nsit Ibom LGA.
Speaking at the flag off of Nsit Ibom Outreach, Rt Hon Ikon expressed satisfaction at the commitment of NMA AKS towards enhancing health care for the masses and pledged his continuous support for initiatives that are pro people.
On his part, the chairman NMA AKS, Dr Aniekeme Uwah urged citizens if Nsit Ibom LGA to come out enmasse to the designated health facilities for proper health check ups as being healthy is equivalent to being wealthy. He urged other well meaning citizens to emulate Rt Hon Sam Ikon in reaching out to the less privileged through medical outreaches. Beneficiaries in Nsit ibom rendered heart felt gratitude to Rt Hon Ikon, while wishing him success in future endeavors.
Present at the flag off were Eric Akpan, Chairman Nsit Ibom LG, traditional rulers , the political class and other citizens of Etinan Federal constituency
It will be recalled that about 3000 persons were beneficiaries in the first two phases of the outreach.
A break down by the NMA, AKS shows that in Etinan LGA: 22 Surgeries were carried out, 100 free eye glasses given, 150 free eye check ups done and 905 Medical conditions were treated free of charge.
In Nsit Ubium LGA, 36 Surgeries were carried out, 85 free eye glasses given, 120 free eye check ups done and 987 Medical conditions were treated free of charge.
