To mark the beginning of the year 2019 and redidicate Akwa Ibom to God, the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has invited the general public to a New Year Solemn Assembly on Wednesday January 2, 2018 at the Ibom Hall Grounds in Uyo, by 10 a.m.
According to the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Charles Udoh, the Solemn Assembly with the theme You are God, You Alone, (2 Kings 19:19), will feature music ministration and prayers of supplication to Almighty God. He added that the message of the day will be delivered by Archbishop Idem Ikon.
Consequently, Mr. Udoh requested all well-meaning Akwa Ibom citizens, members of the clergy, political stakeholders, women and youth organizations, residents and the general practitioner public to attend the event.
