Governor Udom Emmanuel, the PDP governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom state has been declared the winner of the governorship election.
Prof. Osasere Orumwense, Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, and Akwa Ibom State Governorship Elections returning officer, announced as follows:
Number of Registered Voters: 2111927
Number of Accredited Voters: 720064
PDP: 519,712
APC: 171,978
Valid Votes: 696245
Void Votes: 15092
Total Votes Casted: 712037
Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel is hereby announced elected, as Governor of Akwa Ibom State from May 29, 2019 – May 29, 2023.
