UYO LG V’CHAIRMAN SPONSORS VOCATIONAL TRAINING FOR TEN A’IBOM YOUTHS

In his avowed determination to support the completion agenda of His Excellency Governor Udom Emmanuel on Poverty alleviation, job and wealth creation in Akwa Ibom State, Otuekong Hon. Ukai Udeme Emmanuel, The Vice Chairman Of Uyo Local Government Council on Friday 24th January, 2020 sponsored vocational training for ten Akwa Ibom youths.

Hon. Ukai expressed dissatisfaction over the alarming rate of unemployment in Nigeria stressing that the youths most engage themselves on different skills acquisition irrespective of their certificate adding that the trade which they are about to learn will put food on their table today and in the nearest future.

He urged them to be diligent, dedicated, committed and patriotic to the due discharge of their responsibilities in whatsoever area of training they wish to key into while assuring them of his continuous support at every point in time.

On her part, one of the beneficiary, Miss Veronica Udo from Uruk Anam Local Government Area on behalf of other beneficiaries extolled the unprecedented and gigantic leadership prowess of the Vice Chairman describing it as an act of human kindness to humanity.

Some of the areas of training include;Professional Makeup And Gele Tying, Bridal Accessories (Hand fan & Umbrella), Fascinator and Hat
Cake Making, Small Chops and Pastries amongst others.
