
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Charles Udoh has expressed gratitude to Uyo Students Alumni Association for joining numerous other groups to throw their weight on the re-election bid of Governor Udom Emmanuel for second term in office come May 2019.
Charles Udoh made this known early today when the executive members of the association paid him a solidarity visit at his residence in Uyo.
Udoh who extended his hands of fellowship to the Uyo Students alumni commended them for taking the right step in the right direction and urged them to propagate the trial blazing success story of the Governor in the different sectors and sections of the state, reiterating that, more dividends of good governance will be enjoyed by the people as Governor Udom Emmanuel remains in office.
Charles Udoh who shared his wealth of experience both in the private sector and government with the Uyo Students alumni tasked them to imbibe virtues that will enable them excel in their endeavours and become useful members of the society and urged them to shun acts that are inimical to their future life prospects.
Drawing their attention to the recent clamp down on 33 cult groups in the State by Governor Udom Emmanuel, the Information Boss challenged the students to remain good ambassadors of Uyo local government area in their different spheres of life and also a source of pride to their families, the state and country at large.
The Information Boss used the occasion to urge Youths in the State to tap into the numerous job creation opportunities now opened by the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration to better their lots as well as boost the development profile of Akwa Ibom State.
While imploring the youths to reverence God, respect constituted authorities, shun bad companies and be serious in the pursuits of their endeavours, Udoh used the occasion to call on all unemployed persons to engage themselves positively in profitable ventures for self-actualization.
He listed the numerous job creation opportunities available in the State with the opening up of companies and agro based ventures to include: the electric metering solutions company, the syringe factory, pencils and toothpick factory, peacock paints, Green houses, Coconut plantation and refinery, fertilizer blending plant and the upcoming ranch and yoghurt factory among others.
In his response on behalf of the executive members of Uyo Students Alumni Association, the leader of the team, Mr. Michael Ekot expressed appreciation to the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Charles Udoh, who he described as a Role Model and Proud son of Uyo, for hosting them.
Ekot thanked the Information Boss not only for counseling them on the path of success but for always supporting and mentoring so many youths of Uyo local government origin and beyond and used the avenue to declare the support of Uyo students alumni association for the second term bid of Governor Udom Emmanuel during the 2019 elections.
It would be the recalled that the youth-friendly Information Commissioner, Mr. Charles Udoh as at various times sponsored indigent youths through their academic career, provided equipment and sporting facilities to schools, supported football clubs with Sports kits and financial assistance as well as floated Charles Udoh Unity Cup, all geared at students and youths development.
