A’IBOM FIRST LADY DESIGNATE UNVEILS STATEWIDE FESTIVE ACTIVITIES FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN

In preparation for the upcoming festivities, the Coordinator of the office of the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Lady Helen Eno Obareki, has outlined activities that will accommodate women and children from all the Local Government Areas of the state in December, as the year draws to a close.

Lady Helen Obareki made the announcement on Thursday, November 20, 2025, during the November edition of the Akwa Ibom State Women Monthly Prayer Service, at Banquet Hall of Government House, Uyo, where she took the only bible reading and communicated the details through the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hon. Inibehe Silas.

The planned end-of-year Christmas party activities for women and children will include carols, games, exchange of gift, and a competition were the winner will be crowned as the ARISE Queen.

Additionally, Lady Obareki encouraged wives of Local Government Chairmen to collaborate with stakeholders in their areas to generate grassroot support for Governor Umo Eno’s second term bid.

Preaching on the theme, “God of the Eleventh Hour”, Pastor Ekaette Kufre reminded Christians of the place of faith and expectancy in God’s plan, a symbol of divine intervention at the most critical moments.

Pastor Kufre emphasised on the significance of faith in divine timing and reassured that God’s intervention can bring breakthrough regardless of one’s past or current circumstances. She portrayed the “eleventh hour” as a source of hope for restoration and new beginnings.

The November edition of the Akwa Ibom Women Monthly Prayer themed “There is More (The Eleventh Hour God)”, featured intercessory sessions, praise and thanksgiving by women born in the month of November.
