The Akwa Ibom State All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council has released an updated campaign schedule for the 2027 General Elections in the state. The new timetable, dated November 8, 2026, replaces the one earlier published on November 3, 2026.
In a letter signed by the Secretary General of the Campaign Council, Prince Enobong Uwah, party leaders, stakeholders, members and faithful were asked to note the changes and prepare for the planned activities. The Council also thanked stakeholders and party faithful for their cooperation and commitment to the success of the campaign.
Presidential visit and campaign launch in Akwa Ibom
The schedule opens with the state visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday, November 6, 2026. According to the Council, the day covers the inauguration of the APC Campaign Council, the launch of APC campaigns in Akwa Ibom State, the endorsement of the President and all APC candidates by South-South stakeholders, and the presidential campaign in the state. It also lists the inauguration and a mega rally of political support groups, including the ARISE with Renewed Hope Initiative and the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
Governorship manifesto unveiling
The Council will unveil the governorship campaign manifesto on Friday, November 13, 2026, at 3 PM.
Local government area campaign visits
From mid-November, the campaign moves round the state with visits to two local government areas on most campaign days, usually at 12 noon and 2 PM.

Election dates
The Presidential and National Assembly elections are set for Saturday, January 16, 2027. The Governorship and House of Assembly elections follow on Saturday, February 6, 2027. Both dates match the revised 2027 timetable published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Senatorial district town square meetings
After the first round of elections, the Council has scheduled town square meetings in each senatorial district ahead of the governorship election:
- Monday, February 1: Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District
- Tuesday, February 2: Eket Senatorial District
- Wednesday, February 3: Uyo Senatorial District
Presidential campaign beyond Akwa Ibom
The wider schedule also lists presidential campaign stops outside the state, including Calabar (November 2), Benin (November 12) and Yenagoa (December 15), along with other visits marked as “President visibility” in several states.
