Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has paid two months’ salaries to the newly recruited 3,000 NCE teachers in public primary and junior secondary schools in the State.
In a release by the Permanent Secretary, Akwa Ibom State Universal Basic Education Board (AK-SUBEB), Elder Ezekiel Umoh on behalf of the Executive Chairman, the salaries paid reflect the teachers’ resumption date, covering the months of October and November, 2018.
To this end, the Board sincerely commends Governor Udom Emmanuel for giving basic education the desired attention, evidenced in the recruitment of qualified teachers for public schools across the state and the bumper salary pakage for the 3000 newly recruited NCE teachers.
Others are: sustenance of the free and compulsory education policy for public schools in the state, payment of subvention to head teachers, mass renovation and construction of classrooms, provision of educational materials and basic infrastructure in schools.
