There has been further adjustment to the fixtures of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) 2017/18 season arising from CAF Club competitions involving four of the NPFL Clubs.
Chief Operating Officer of the League Management Company (LMC), Salihu Abubakar made public the adjustments in a memo circulated to all the clubs, Monday afternoon.
Abubakar explained that the NPFL draws were made before the continental fixtures were released hence the adjustments being made as Nigerian clubs advance in the competitions.
Two Match Day 10 fixtures, Akwa United versus Heartland Go Round versu Plateau United which were originally scheduled for last Sunday, February 25 are now to hold on Wednesday, March 21.
Likewise, this weekend’s Match Day 11 fixtures involving all four clubs playing continental matches have been moved to Wednesday, March 28. The fixtures are Enyimba versus MFM, Plateau United versus Yobe Desert Stars and Katsina United versus Akwa United.
Match Day 13 fixtures were also affected in the adjustments with two of the affected fixtures moved from March 18 to April 4. Dates for two others would be announced at a later date. The matches to hold on April 4are Plateau United versus Kwara United and Rangers International versus MFM while date for those of Enyimba versus Go Round and Rivers United versus Akwa United would be determined later.
Abubakar said all other scheduled fixtures for Match Day 11 would hold this Sunday, March 4
