As part of efforts by the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led government at boosting sports, tourism and hospitality in the state, 65 Golfers from Ikoyi Golf Club have arrived Akwa Ibom State for a Golf Match Play with Ibom Golf club.
The 2 days tournament scheduled for Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo will commence from today, Friday 26th to Sunday 28th October, 2018.
As part of activities marking the Golf tournament in the state, there will be an interactive session by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh with the Golfers to acquaint them with facts on the entity Akwa Ibom, the potentials and endowments as well as the giant strides of Governor Udom Emmanuel towards sustainable development for the people of the State.
According to the State’s Information helmsman, the interactive session will feature a power-point presentation on the Superior performance of the present administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel which is driven by the 5 Point Agenda of the Governor anchored on 3 critical sectors of industrialization, Agriculture and Tourism.
He further disclosed that, with the high net worth of the Golfers from Ikoyi Golf Club, the Golfers from Ibom Golf Club led by its captain, Rt. Hon. Usenobong Akpabio will tap positively from the golf match play.
All lovers of sports, professionals in the tourism and hospitality industry and public spirited individuals are invited to watch the Golf tournament at Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort.
