Akwa Ibom Entertainers Rise with Gov. Udom Emmanuel Again

As part of activities to mark the celebration of Democracy Day 2018, the Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom State Governor on Entertainment Industry, David Sageant popularly known as Utang Akwa Ibom has revealed plans from his stables to make the celebration a memorable one for residents.

Tagged ‘i Rise with Udom’ Democracy Day Concert and Novelty Football Match, in their usual tradition,the entertainers will engage in a friendly tackle on the field of play with aides of the Governor. Thereafter, a 5- Star concert will be staged in the heart of the city (Ibom Plaza) to celebrate 3 Years of the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Utang Akwa Ibom says he feels a great measure of fulfilment with the performance of his boss in the last 3 years. ‘i Rise with Udom’ was inspired in line with the Dakkada philosophy of the administration of Governor Emmanuel to spur Akwa Ibom people to greatness in all spheres of endeavour.

According to Utang,‘’i Rise with Udom’ was initially a case of celebrating the stock of personality Akwa Ibom state is blessed to have as a Governor, in person of Mr Udom Emmanuel, but looking at 3 years of his administration down the line, it is now a case of joy unlimited because of life touching projects spread across the state and numerous benefits entertainers have enjoyed during his tenure’.

The match and concert, both free-for-all, is scheduled for Wednesday, 30th May 2018, to be played on the pitch of Uyo Township stadium by 4pm, while the concert is slated for 7pm at Ibom Plaza and will parade A- List Artistes of Akwa Ibom origin.
