A group of Twitter users who identify themselves as #AkwaIbomTwitter has vows to turn #ValentinesDay to #UsenIma to celebrate themselves.
This is coming few days after a Twitter user @cavilT proposed that every 1st day of the month be made #NoEnglishDay for those from Akwa Ibom.
Are you from Oro, Ibibio, Annang even Efik? It’s official, we will confuse twitter on that day. #NoEnglishDay for all #AkwaIbomTwitter pic.twitter.com/oVR6thq81L

The handle also said the twitter conversation is aimed at reminding them of the reason to identify, celebrate and learn how to write and read their local dialect, saving it from going extinct.

On this day we'd love to hear your love story in either Ibibio, Oro, Ekid and Annang. 😍🥰 pic.twitter.com/Lz91vDQRlk
I search for an hashtag #UsenIma which we might likely use for for Valentine’s Day on #AkwaIbomTwitter.
