
The Confederation of West African Youths has named Ifiokobong Tony Akan among 50 Leading Ladies in West Africa. Ifiokobong is a fashion icon and CEO, House of Borah, a multiple award-winning fashion brand.
The Confederation of West African Youths is the body responsible for the West African Youth Award, an annual event conceived to give proper recognition through the conferment of awards of excellence and distinction to young Africans who have made outstanding achievements.
The announcement, made Thursday on the organization’s Instagram page, rated Ifiokobong among outstanding Africa ladies like British Ghanaian TV personality, Peace Hyde, Investment Executive, and Financial Services Expert, Laureen Kouassi, Ghanaian human resource consultant, Edem Adzaho and Mansuki Ghana CEO, Israella Kafui Mansu.

Ifiokobong, a graduate of Policy Studies and Administration from the University of Calabar, is a member of The Association of Image Consultants International (AICI) and a certified Image and Fashion Styling Consultant trained at LA-Image & Fashion School, Toronto, Canada. She is also a certified Database Administrator.
She was awarded Young Performing Personality of the Year 2017 at the 7th Niger Delta Achievers Awards with an Integrity in Business and Creativity Awards 2018 in Ghana by the Africa Child Prize Foundation (UN).
A mentee of James Brenden, creative director of JBliving, Ifiokobong is a wife, mother and serial fashion entrepreneur who is pushing the global fashion industry forward, through design innovation and new business models.
