Akwa Ibom people, for how long can we be fooled? For how long would we allow a group of selfish people play on your intelligence? For how long would we allow one man toy with the destiny of the state?

It has been said repeatedly that these people cannot be trusted because of their uncommon lies. Akwa Ibom people, we must expose them for who they are.

How can they seek praises for the man who promised the people 31 industries but left without building even one chalk factory; and instead, they want you to crucify a man who has built 12 factories in just three years? Don’t you think you should pause for a moment and ask if their love for this state is genuine?

Akwa Ibom people, why do they want you to celebrate a man who stole billions of naira from our annual budget in the name of 31 industries, but crucify a man who despite tough economic situation, has given you 12 industries, notwithstanding the location? Is this because they love you so much?

Why should they desire that you celebrate a man who stole more than N100b from Tropicana without having anything to show for, yet they kept telling you that they will create thousands of jobs for the youth?

Why should they demand that you celebrate a man who stole billions meant for Ibom Specialist hospital, a man who used the place like a private estate but fly to London and Germany with his wife whenever they are sick; yet want you to crucify a man who has revived the hospital with a new management team for the benefit of Akwa Ibom people?

Why should they expect you to celebrate a man who stole billions meant for Uyo-Ikot Ekpene Road, a man who diverted over N9b meant for payment of compensation for affected properties on the road, yet expect you to crucify the man who had to source for money again to pay compensation so that work on the road may continue for the benefit of Akwa Ibom people?

Why should they expect you to celebrate a man who stole billions of naira from Four Point by Sheraton, hired equipment and faked the commissioning of the hotel; yet want you to crucify a man who is trying to revive the hotel, a man who is buying equipments and furniture to kick start the hotel for the benefit of Akwa Ibom people? You must ask them questions.

Why should they expect you to celebrate a man who stole billions of naira and deceived you that he has constructed and completed Use Ikot Amama, Etebi-Ewang, Enen Nsit road without completing any, yet they want you to keep quiet?

How can they expect you to celebrate a man who stole billions meant for the underground pipe-jacking system, and told you that with the project, no flood will be found in Uyo minutes after a downpour; afterwards send their henchmen to shamelessly snap and post pictures of flood with the intention of blaming on another man? This is why you must ask them questions.

How can they expect you to celebrate a man who stole billions meant for payment of pension and gratuity to your mothers and fathers who spent a greater part of their lives in service for the state, yet want you to crucify the man who inherited the debt?

Why should they expect you to celebrate a man who his new friends told us previously that he stole over N4 trillion of your common wealth, yet want you to deify the same man now?

Why should they expect you to celebrate a man whom his new party alleged responsible for the killings of your parents, raped your wives and daughters, beheaded your Paramount Rulers, kidnapped your brothers, framed up your uncles, yet expect you to crucify a man who has banned cultism and has ensured the state today witnesses peace, security and stability?

Why should they expect you to celebrate a man who insulted his predecessor, refused paying Obong Attah his entitlements as a former Governor, refused paying the medical bills of your dear former First Lady, yet expect you to crucify a man who has treated his own predecessor with respect and honour despite his undeserving nature?

Why should they expect you to celebrate a man whom his new friends told us was responsible for the persecution and death of Late Dr Ime Umanah, Political killings of late RT. Hon. Okon Uwah, Albert Ukpanah, Ekpenyong Brothers from Ewet Offort, Paul Inyang, election killings in 2011 and 2015? Akwa Ibom people ask them questions.

How can they expect you to celebrate a man who under his watched as a governor a mother of a Governorship aspirant, Mrs Philomena Udonwa was abducted, rape and heartlessly murdered, whose only crime was to give birth to a son who aspired like many others for the office of Governor of Akwa Ibom state in 2011, yet want you to crucify a man who sees his political opponents as contestants in a game where there must be a winner and a loser?

Akwa Ibom people, the time has come to put on your thinking cap for the sake of generations yet unborn.

Akwa Ibom people, it is time to stop going to Ukana Temple to eat rice cooked with dead people’s corpse and stew made with the blood of innocent babies.

Stop eating poisoned rice, mineral and water that will render you incapable of thinking rationally and logically. Stop eating and drinking the destiny of your children and that of your unborn generation. Akwa Ibom voters, Be wise.

Their gang up against Akwa Ibom is for their selfish ambition not for the benefit of Akwa Ibom people. For the thieves commeth to steel, kill and destroy as usual. My people, Be wise.

The time to rise up and fight for the future of this state is now. They cannot fool and ruin us a second time. Be wise.

Secure Akwa Ibom from economic scavengers and thieves. We must stop them now before they stop us.

Your destiny is in your hands. Be wise. Stop believing them. My brothers and sisters, ask questions.
