
The Commisioner for Works of Akwa Ibom State, Akparawa Ephraim Inyang-Eyen has been conferred with a lifetime award on High Intellectual Productivity by the University of Ibadan.
Mr Ephraim Inyang-Eyen who is an alumni of the Institution was conferred with the award at the 70th award night of the institution held recently in the institution of learning.
Receiving the award, Inyang-Eyen thanked the School for the honour done him, promised to remain a good ambassador of the institution.
He noted that he was delighted by the fact that the University of Ibadan (UI) has developed great leaders and brilliant professionals for the work force in Nigeria and beyond.
The Commissioner for works added ” A great nation like Nigeria needs great leaders and University of Ibadan has provided the resources, tools, and support to ensure her students develop into great leaders.
” The leadership coaching services through different courses offered in this school creates valuable culture in students and this has over the years translated the graduates of UI to a community of world class leaders .”
While describing the institution as a proud bride in the country, Mr Inyang-Eyen pointed out that the level of research work carried out by the institution was plausible and commendable, hence the reason the institution can boast of having more foreign students than any other University in the country.
The Commisioner called on the administration of the institution not to allow the enviable achievements of the institution to be ruined rather should hold on to its known ethics and discipline thus continue to make the University a pace setter among other universities in the world.
