
The Akwa Ibom State commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr.Charles Udoh says the location of any industry is purely the choice of an investor.
Reacting to an allegation of concentration of Industries in Awa clan in ONNA local government area by a former member of the National Assembly, Hon Eseme Eyibo, the commissioner said the government of Mr.Udom Emmanuel has spread development and industries across the state with no senatorial district left out.
He also said government is a facilitator providing basic infrastructure as equity participation.
According to him, the coconut refinery is in Mkpat Enin, Plastic factory is in Itam same with the pencil and toothpick company.
We have the rice mill at INI, Fertiliser plant is in Abak while Garry processing plant are situated in both Ibesikpo Asutan and Abak local government areas respectively as well as the revamped Peacock paint in Etinan.
He also pointed out that the Deep sea is earmarked for Mbo while the international jetty is designed for Ikot Abasi.
The commissioner urged the people of the state to avail themselves of the various media outlets to get acquitted with the development strides of the government of the day under the leadership of Mr.Udom Emmanuel.
” No matter the distractions from these opposition elements, the administration of Mr Udom Emmanuel is focused on creating wealth for the people by creating a conducive environment for investors to invest in the aboudant natural resources in the state.
“We will not be distracted because these industries are functioning and many more will be added before the end of his tenure in 2023. I am glad that despite the lies spread by these people, Akwa Ibom people know the truth and are ready to stand by this truth which Governor Udom Emmanuel represents” he added.
