#UyoInPics: Onofiok Luke and Ini Ememobong Goes Viral…See Why

Something is happening to our polity.
There is a paradigm shift; a new order of politicking which wears a human face and I am pleased that this is championed by my generation.

Today, two major events took place in Akwa Ibom State.

First, it was the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Onofiok Luke volunteering as the Bestman for his Press Secretary, Kufre Okon during his marriage ceremonies. He did this dutifully with all humility.

Just when I retired from that event, I came across this news item of Comrade Ini Ememobong (Akwa Ibom State PDP Publicity Secretary) chauffeuring his own driver, Mr. Otobong Umoh to his wedding ceremonies in this same Country o. Men and brethren, he opened the door for him to step out of the car. He also donated a car to him but that’s not even my worry here.

I have followed the conversations about these outings and I must say that we’re finally getting it right as a people.

Today feels like my birthday because it’s from one goodnews about humanity to another.

For the rest of us, this serves a strong lesson about friendship/relationship above our position in the society.

As a Psychologist, I know what this has done to the couples’ self esteem and association.

It was in a time like this that Simeon said “Lord, let thy servant go in peace…” but I’m sha not going anywhere😂

Nigeria and indeed Africa will soon have to learn this new normal from Akwa Ibom State.
